Deborah Kantrowitz

Deborah is currently a third grade teacher at The School at Columbia. She earned a Masters of Special Education from the University of Hartford, a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Plymouth State University, and is currently working toward a Masters in Psychology of Education with a concentration in Spirituality, Mind and Body at Teachers College Columbia University. Deborah has 29 years of experience as a project-based learning teacher, a learning specialist, and classroom teacher in public, charter, and independent schools.  Building community, helping children know their inner selves, and teaching young people to be ambassadors of peace is where she feels most aligned with her work.
