Thea Nuñez

Thea is in her third year working as a co-lead teacher at The School at Columbia University (TSC). Prior to joining TSC, Thea taught in a variety of early childhood settings ranging from charter, head start, private and independent schools. Her approach to teaching helps children foster a sense of responsibility in their community, take risks and become life long learners. She also enjoys including musical and artistic elements into the classroom, allowing children to express themselves using their unique voices and experiences. Thea holds a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education. Outside of work, Thea enjoys traveling, learning new recipes and spending time with her family.
